Went to the zoo again on Saturday and actually did see more in a shorter time than my last trip there. Because we bought gongcha after dinner and had nowhere to go, we walked to AMK from J8. It was a longer walk than I expected, but exercise of some form nonetheless? Upon coming to the lights after the long walk, it was decided that we’d run for it. Truly a day of exercise!

Today, headed out for a movie after work and a very late dinner and surprisingly the conversation flowed. Had some lychee martini ice cream and late dinner at ECP. Perhaps the breeze at ECP facilitated conversation or something but it felt like I was catching up with an old friend.

Another interview for good measure. The panel was generally nice, though the questions required some thinking, which probably explains why I felt drained after the interview even though it seems short in comparison to the candidate’s before mine.

This little boy on the train rattled off 唐诗 like a pro. Amazing stuffs kids do these days. Another little girl (still in CNY red matching top and bottom?) did her mini version of the pole dance at the bus stop all the time staring at me, with me staring back at her. I’m not good with kids – I don’t know how to entertain them. So I just stared. 

Another work day tomorrow to end the week. 

Strictly speaking, you ought to do better with each attempt, right? But why doesn’t it happen like this?

I probably should sleep. Too tired to think.

Had a great mee…

Had a great meetup with Celia, Chern Wei, and CW’s friend. We stuffed ourselves silly with sushi because reservations meant a minimum spending of $25 per pax. After dinner, we made our way to Cathay where I was further entertained by stories from our past, especially those surrounding the 2 pet hamsters we had in class back in Primary 6. Even saying the word “primary” feels so distant now. 

Haven’t count angbao money! 

Another interview and more second-guessing. I wish I can be more decided about what I really want.

Limelight on Monday. It’ll be a first playing at the Esplanade concert hall!  

Too much typing done in Excel that every time I want to start a new paragraph I hold down the “Alt” + “Enter” keys, which doesn’t do anything in wordpress.

Writing doesn’t come as naturally to me now as it did before. Shall blog more. AND really need to exercise already. This body doesn’t feel like mine anymore.

And having taken rides in his car for two times now, I find that he’s not a very careful driver. But, still no one scares me more than Dad at the wheels haha!

I finally received a 红炸弹 from my friend, with my name on the invite.

This is probably the next best reminder (besides birthdays) of how much we’ve grown. Speaking of which, I will need to put aside a pretty substantial amount for the red packet. Am deliberating between driving or hiring  a cab…

First two movies of the year fell short of expectations. However, TheDescendants had me wishing I was in Hawaii. Little wonder they won Best Picture.

I am pretty psyched about the upcoming performance 2 more practices! And that’s that.
